I hold a blue belt in Kuk Sool Won, a testament to my discipline, focus, and ability to master a martial art that combines agility and strength.
Academically, I hold a B.S. in Exercise Science and am currently advancing my expertise with a Master of Public Health degree. Alongside my studies, I’m pursuing certifications as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist.
Health and wellness have been cornerstones of my life from an early age. Growing up, I was the quintessential active kid, always on the move, whether it was running around my neighborhood or playing soccer. My love for movement expanded as I grew older, leading me to excel in track and field and softball, which I played competitively into adulthood. I’m proud to have served as a U.S. Army veteran, where the values of discipline, teamwork, and adaptability deepened my appreciation for community and the power of shared goals. My service also ignited my curiosity about the intersection of physical and mental well-being, setting the foundation for my career in health and wellness. My career has been a dynamic journey, from working with athletes in physical therapy and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation to promoting healthier lifestyles for the general population. Today, as a Health Coach with ActiveHealth Management, I empower others to take charge of their health by combining evidence-based strategies with personalized care. Living across the United States and abroad has broadened my understanding of how diverse environments shape our well-being. These experiences instilled in me a deep respect for the community and the importance of accessible health resources. My life’s journey—marked by athletic pursuits, military service, and a commitment to health education—has transformed me into a coach who leads with empathy, expertise, and enthusiasm. Whether guiding clients toward their fitness goals or advocating for public health initiatives, I’m driven by the belief that wellness is a lifelong adventure, and every step forward matters.
My life’s turning point came in the wake of a perfect storm: living with PTSD, ADHD, and a distorted self-image driven by body dysmorphia. These weren’t just obstacles—they were relentless, internal adversaries that shaped how I viewed myself and what I thought I was capable of. The hero in my story? It was the version of me who finally got tired of surviving and decided to thrive. The enemy was relentless self-doubt, a voice that questioned every step I took and whispered that I wasn’t good enough. It showed up in the form of procrastination when ADHD made it hard to focus, or as a critical gaze in the mirror when body dysmorphia warped my reflection. These battles were deeply personal, yet universal; anyone who’s ever felt stuck or not enough knows this fight. It took courage, therapy, and a relentless commitment to growth to flip the script. Fitness became my outlet, teaching me that strength isn’t just physical—it’s in showing up every day, even when it’s hard. Education helped me channel my focus while embracing vulnerability and allowed me to connect with others who understood these struggles. Ultimately, I conquered my enemies by redefining them as stepping stones instead of barriers. They forced me to decide who I am: someone capable of enduring, learning, and growing. Today, I carry those lessons into my work as a coach, empowering others to see that their greatest battles can become the foundation for their greatest victories.
My purpose for coaching is simple: to help people rediscover the joy of movement and the power it has to transform both their physical and mental well-being.
